greenscreen, tv-crew and a good nights sleep...

filmcrew fall 11, it's Christine with white short hair and scarf...

...new cams. arrived...and already in use. Filmclass are working on greenscreen-projects and the remake of a filmnoir-scene from Shiodmacs "Killers"and the tv-editors are busybusy making woxpops for TV-OJ ( regional channal ) and tv-show for Århus-kanalen, lokal Tv-channal. To "reenforce" tv-editors ( so they'll have a chance to get some sleep every now and then ) we've headhunted 3 bright filmpeople from Hungary, so the TV-editors are now a team of 8 people, still headed by our fantastic " production-leader", Christine from last years filmclass.

So friends, we're very much in business, indeed

Dear Jeppe,

It's been a while since i sent last message to my, close to heart, school in Odder :) Minding you're always willing to know what are your former film students up to, I decided to let you know at what stage am i now, professionally :)

So I work for the production company that is an executive producer of Polish edition of famous American TV format Pimp My Ride to be broadcasted on MTV Poland. I am an assistant to Production Manager

Hej Jeppe.

Hvor er det dog længe siden - Jeg håber at du har det godt og alt køer på skinner i det jyske.
Tine og jeg passer godt på djævleøen og den anden dag over en god flaske rødvin kom vi til at tale om de gode gamle dage på Odderhøjskole og nej hvor vi dog savner, det hele, skolen, menneskerne, lærerne, dig og ikke mindst at kunne lege - og vi fortryder sådan at vi kke greb de muligheder vi havde i højere grad. Nå,men når det er sagt, tænkte vi at det kunne være hyggelgit at komme forbi en dag - evt. kunne vi tilbyde noget fredags fælles undervisning hvis i stadig har det!? Jeg kunne jo fortælle lidt om det at lave film og Tine om det at arbejde i tv-verden!?
du må endelig hilse omkring derovre.

new filmgear

...friday I ordered two new cameras and some extra soundgear for our film and tv-school. The cameras are Panasonic AG-HMC151EJU so now we started on the SD-era, slowly out-facing the tapes...we are allready working on DSLR - Canon with very lightsensitive nikor-lenses - as You'll know,

Jeppe with another piece of gear...a Red camera, bit to complicated for school-use.

....but with so many students, we'll have to work with our good old tape-cameras as well for some time....and that's OK for schooluse - when You are able to handle the old professional tape-dinos, You can handle anything.

busy back in busines

...we started our new film and television-class...and we are pleased. Lots of talented, bright and very nice students from all over Europe The telly-people are already producing for "TV2 Østjylland" after an exiting fieldvisit at their headquarters in Aarhus. Luckyly the filmclass are able and willing to assist them.
This time we try out a new concept, with a small nucleus - 5 tv-editors -in charge of production and backed by interessted filmpeople. More co-work,  more freedom and possibilities for everybody.

Tomorrow the editor in chief for Mediehus Aarhus, our partner for our tv-show on "Aarhuskanalen", will give lecture for the tv-editors on tv-journalism and the filmpeople will work on greenscreen-tecnique with Lasse Løndahl...everything supervised by Morten Lundgaard and me, of course

We hate me, its true all my international filmandtvfriends hate me because I write messages on facebook og here in danish, so.... 

To my crazy film/tv-friends out there:

 Get Your own tv-show – and make as much film as You are able to.

Heureka ! We survived the first round of our own tv-show. This was tough going, chaotic, rewarding and fascinating, a bit to the conventional side to my taste, perhaps. But very convincing, indeed – no-one would have been without it, I believe. NOW, the students are proud, self-complacent and cool…

what happens in the next round ?

...nobody knows:

 the new talents shall ”create” their ways and design the next 4 shows…

..and next round starts NOW-NOW.

We are going to find the crew for spring 2012, so if You have the guts and the talent or know somebody, who wants to dig TV,  make contact fast, chop-chop  - we have limited  intake.

We are looking for talents,  who allready have some skills in producing, planning, shooting, editing, lighting, sound and design, telling film and journalistic stories – but we need wild storytellers, performers and ”reporters” too…so if You’re nicely crazy and wild its not a must to have ”studied” tv or filmproduction before joining our team.

You’ll get a chance in a lifetime, routine, a hot bit for the CV and You’ll build up a impressive show-reel.

Here’s briefly, what it’s all about:

We have expanded our succesfull ”School of Film and tv-production” with a superstructure for talented tv-grassroots and halfbaked wannabes.

We are going to produce our own  28 min. TV-Show  4 times each semester and broadcast by ”Mediahus Aarhus” -  a community body making regional TV for East-Jutland.

We  have a fixed time for our show on channel ”Østjylland”, channel ”Midt Vest”, ”You See” and the net.

 We choose the subjects/what to deal with, the form is free, we create the look, we make our own jingle etc – and we are of course behind and in front of the camera.

You’ll get routine, a hot bit for the CV and You’ll build up an impressive showreel.

 You’ll become a student at Odder Hojskole.

 ”The School of Film and Television” is a part of ”Odder Højskole”/”Odder Hojschool”. We have named the team: ”The TV-Editors”.

Every week in half a year ”The TV-Editors” will have 12 lessons per week on tv-production and journalism supervised by professionals. Furthermore You’ll want  filmanalysis, filmhistory, ”Global world” or You want to dig any other subject of the splendid menu of the ”Odder Hojskole”.

 You must attend to 24 lessons per week and You are free to make film the clock around – when You have no lectures.

The course starts at 8th. of Jan. 2012

Find Your way or invent new television with

other pitstoppers/timeouters/grassroots/storytellers/social reformers/practicians.

We are looking for talents to join our TV-productionteam . We want 8 - 10 ”journalists” and ”TV- makers”, who should be selfreliant and have a suitable background to be able to lift the responsibility of a ongoing TV-show.

Interested? Contact filmJeppe soon – we’re going to find out, who should become the ”pilots” of our caper. The interviews starts…now.

The deadline is 2nd of dec 2011 of and You’ll get the verdict shortly after.
